A reseller can use the consumerOffers terminate endpoint to immediately terminate the consumerOffer, all associated entitlements and the billing plan.

There is an enhanced billing plan API (coming soon Q3 2025) which will enable a reseller to ask Bango to scheduled a future termination based on the phase the consumer is in:

End of Period

This termination type looks at the lifecycle of the consumer’s offer to identify the best time to end the subscription and entitlement access.

• If the consumer is still in a free phase, the termination will be scheduled for the end of the free phase
• If the consumer is in a paid phase (either discounted or full price), the termination will be scheduled for the end of the current renewal period

At this point, the billing plan lifecycle is paused to ensure (for those using the Billing & Charging module) that no further payments are taken.

When the scheduled termination date is reached, Bango sends a termination request to each relevant content provider to terminate the entitlement effective immediately. The billing plan is also terminated.
