It is strongly recommended. Deciding not to implement may lead to invoice disputes and a time consuming manual reconciliation process. The Bango DVM™ provides partners the capability to correlate data against the data held within the Bango platform. By uploading a file to an S3 bucket, Bango checks against the unique entitlementId field to check customerIdentifier, productKey and status, to provide output reports that can be ingested and analyzed by the partner. 

Correlation Reports’ should be used to correlate against Bango data as a source of truth (check that terminology) and resellers/merchants will use the data stored in the reseller/merchant platform to correlate e.g. their stored product key, status, identifier etc.
‘Entitlement reports’ can be ingested and analyzed by the partner to support with monitoring and if needed, to carry out internal reconciliation.  

As a SaaS product, Bango will host the S3 bucket on behalf of the partner, removing the need to develop your own solution. Bango will provide the bucket name and credentials to access once you have been onboarded to the Bango Platform.

Yes, Bango will provide all 4 output files. Where there are no discrepancies, the “MisMatched” file will be empty.

Bango will create different folders in the S3 bucket for each route that is configured. So your production and sandbox data will be in different folders, as will each partner.

Bango correlate the entitlementId, product key and status. Any additional information in the input files can help with any investigations off the back of the output files.
